Deputy Sheriff opening

The Teton County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Sheriff, position starting wage is per hour Dependent on Experience.  After a year of successful employment rate of pay is DOE. 

Sheriff Deputy duties and responsibilities include performing the duties of a Deputy Sheriff as prescribed by Montana State statute.  This includes, but not limited to, responding to calls from citizens for service in a variety of law enforcement assignments.  Being able to deal with stressful circumstances in all situations, in all types of weather, and work all hours.  Perform quality and detailed work, communicate effectively with others and be physically fit in order to deal with the hazards of the job which include the apprehension of suspects in crimes and investigate crimes as needed. 

This position requires the applicant to be able to obey rules, regulations and follow the instructions from supervisors.  Applicant must show a desire to work with the public to solve problems, show strong self-motivation, and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity, maturity, and confidentiality.  A long-term commitment to living and serving the citizens of Teton County is desired.
